The two recently commissioned PET (polyethylene terephthalate) plants supplied by Chemtex, Koch Technology Solutions (KTS), and Polymetrix AG to Sanfame Group in China have successfully exceeded their nameplate capacity of 2,000 tonnes per day (TPD), achieving sustained production rates of 2,200 TPD.
This achievement further strengthens their standing as the largest single-stream melt lines in the world, underscoring both the technological sophistication and operational excellence behind the projects. By pushing the limits of production capacity, the plants are setting a new industry standard for both capital efficiency and operational performance.
