Innovation in polyester technology is realised through collaboration of KTS, Chemtex and Polymetrix.
SFX (Sanfame Group Co., Ltd.) has successfully commissioned its latest PET complex. The site now operates two of the world’s leading single-stream continuous polymerization plants, designed by Chemtex using KTS (Koch Technology Solutions) know-how.
Each plant produces 2,000 tons per day of PET packaging-grade resin pellets, following solid-state polymerization with Polymetrix technology.
This milestone builds on 14 previous projects in which SFX partnered with KTS, Chemtex, and Polymetrix to deliver PET resin to the global market – achieving low energy consumption, excellent capital productivity, and high value for its customers.
Mr. Bian, CEO at SFX, stated: “This collaboration with our partners has enabled us to build world-scale facilities and produce high-quality PET. It marks an important step in our journey to grow and strengthen our business.”
John Baker, Polyester Business Leader at KTS, commented: “KTS has spent over 50 years enhancing this technology, and this project represents the next evolution in plant scale and operational efficiency. We continue to innovate with PolyVolve™, our latest offering.”
Sean Ma, CEO at Chemtex, added: “This project showcases Chemtex’s proven capability in engineering and commissioning support, delivering an unparalleled solution in the industry.”
