N2O Abatement Technology
Nitrous oxide (N₂O) abatement technology reduces greenhouse gas emissions from industrial processes such as nitric acid, adipic acid, and caprolactam production. By eliminating N₂O before release to atmosphere it transforms emissions helping industries meet environmental regulations and lower their carbon dioxide equivalent (CO₂e) emissions. This technology supports reduced emissions enabling cleaner, more sustainable production and strengthening corporate environmental responsibility.
Benefits
Over 75 million tons CO₂e annual abatement capacity installed worldwide
Backed by 25+ years of N₂O Abatement experience through in-house operations and licensing
Delivers > 99% N₂O abatement - field-demonstrated performance
Modular turnkey design – fast install with minimal disruption
Energy-efficient reactor technology engineered for low operating costs
Carbon credit market access enabled via partnerships across the Koch network
How It Works
Nitrous oxide contained in industrial off gases is removed by catalytic decomposition utilising KTS’s proprietary catalyst. The downstream gas can then be further treated or safely vented to atmosphere depending on plant configuration and operators emission goals.

Our Proven Offer
KTS’ base technology offering includes a Process Design Package (PDP), technical services to support detailed design, procurement, commissioning and start-up, training and on-going post-acceptance technical services.
