Koch Technology Solutions and INVISTA Partner to Advance Proven N₂O Abatement Technology

Wichita, KS – 24th September 2025 – Koch Technology Solutions (KTS), the technology licensing business of Koch Engineered Solutions, is proud to announce a strategic partnership with INVISTA, a fellow Koch, Inc. company and a global leader in the nylon and polypropylene value chains, to accelerate the deployment of INVISTA’s proven nitrous oxide (N2O) abatement technology.

This collaboration demonstrates the strength of Koch companies working together to address some of today’s most urgent industrial challenges. With growing global emphasis on the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions—particularly nitrous oxide, which to have a carbon dioxide equivalence of nearly 300—the demand for effective, commercially viable abatement solutions is of increasing importance to industry.

KTS and INVISTA have closely collaborated to commercialize a robust and field-proven technology platform that significantly reduces N2O emissions from adipic acid manufacturing processes. The technology is already operational at four industrial reference sites, delivering strong performance, reliability, and environmental impact, with over 75 million tons CO2e annual abatement capacity installed worldwide accounting for recently licensed and historically installed operations dating back to the 1990s.

“This partnership represents the best of Koch: leveraging capabilities across our companies to create real value for industry and society,” said Neil Davies, N2O Abatement Business Leader at Koch Technology Solutions. “With INVISTA’s deep operational experience and KTS’s licensing and engineering expertise, we are well positioned to deliver a scalable and proven solution to industrial facilities facing increasing regulatory and environmental pressures.”

“INVISTA’s N2O abatement technology plays a key role in helping customers make meaningful progress toward their goals,” said Ethel Garnier, Global Sustainability Director – Nylon for INVISTA. “We’ve seen its impact firsthand at our own manufacturing sites. Now, with Koch Technology Solutions bringing their licensing and commercialization capabilities, we’re confident they are the right team to take this technology to the broader market. As industries continue to focus on reducing emissions across their supply chains, this collaboration can help drive significant environmental improvements far beyond our own operations.”

With this announcement, KTS and INVISTA invite industry partners to explore how this advanced technology can help meet emissions reduction targets and compliance requirements —while enabling long-term operational excellence.

This partnership is aligned with KTS’s vision, deploying its technology development and commercialization core capabilities to an expanding portfolio of technologies to deliver the same long-term superior returns as it has in existing business lines with PTA, Polyester, BDO and PTMEG technologies.
