PolyReVolve™ rPET Technology
A low-risk, profitable path to recycled content for existing polyester producers
Demand for recycled content is expected to grow over the long term, but producers must still operate through changing feedstock costs, product premiums and regional requirements. PolyReVolve™ helps manage that uncertainty by adding recycled-content capability without removing the option to serve virgin-PET markets.
With PolyReVolve, producers can adjust recycled content from 0% to 100% to meet changing customer requirements, market conditions and recycled-content targets, without committing the asset exclusively to recycled production.
Benefits
0–100% recycled-content flexibility
Switch between virgin PET and recycled PET or produce blends in the ratio needed for a particular product, contract or market.
Preserve existing production capacity
PolyReVolve™ is designed to add recycled-content capability while preserving polymerisation capacity in retrofit applications.
Extend the value of existing assets
The retrofit approach allows producers to use established continuous polymerisation infrastructure rather than building a separate recycling line.
Flexible recycled feedstocks
PolyReVolve™ can use suitable post-consumer recycled PET flake and post-industrial PET waste.
Consistent, high-quality output
KTS’s proprietary partial glycolysis and reactor technology produces an optimized, highly reactive oligomer intermediate.
Backed by experienced technology partners
PolyReVolve™ brings together KTS’s proprietary reactor and polyester process technology with Chemtex’s large-scale engineering and project delivery experience.
Designed For Attractive Project Economics
CAPEX ADVANTAGE
~50% less than mechanical recycle (at the same scale)
OPEX ADVANTAGE
30-70 /t over mechanical recycle

How It Works
PolyReVolve™ begins with suitable recycled PET feedstock, such as clean post-consumer flake or post-industrial PET waste. The material is melted and partially glycolyzed using KTS technology to create an optimized oligomer intermediate.
Contaminants are removed before the intermediate enters proven polymerisation equipment. By controlling the balance of recycled and virgin feedstocks, the producer can manufacture virgin PET, up to 100% recycled PET or a tailored blend, while adjusting product properties to meet application requirements.
Our PolyReVolve™ Offer
KTS and Chemtex can help producers assess how PolyReVolve™ could be integrated with an existing facility.
Site feasibility study
A focused assessment of the existing line, available feedstocks, target products, integration requirements and potential project economics. The introductory project pathway anticipates a site-feasibility package taking approximately two to four weeks once the necessary information is available.
Basic design package
A defined technology package provides the process basis needed to move into detailed engineering and project development.
Coordinated project delivery
PolyReVolve™ is available through the combined capabilities of KTS and Chemtex, bringing together proprietary process technology, polyester expertise and experience deploying industrial-scale projects.
Technical support
The KTS and Chemtex team can support technical discussions, project scoping, commercial development and planning for implementation and start-up.
